Woke this morning to anew leak in the RV ceiling. We’ve been learning about the life of the frontier settlers out here. Christina says the frequent repairs are keeping us in that tradition. I think that sounds pretty good!

Headed West and South from Aberdeen towards the Badlands. We stopped along the way at 1880 Town – a reproduction of a SD town from that time period. It was built from buildings and objects from around the state, built in the late 1800s to early 1900s. It was a little kitschy, but worth the stop.

From there, on to the badlands. Christina did she’s always wanted to see it, and I’m glad we made it a part of the trip. The landscape is absolutely incredible! We had time to do one short trail before a huge tour group rolled in, so we decided to get a camping spot and do more in the morning. Of course, about an hour after we stopped, the same group pulled in and set up camp right next to us. Hopefully, we’ll still be able to get some sleep tonight!
