Tour Diary, March 14 2015

It finally dawned on me that I should be keeping a tour diary, if nothing else so I can look back on it in my old age and deli e the “glory days” ;)

So, here we are, on our third Summerglen US tour. We tend to do as much vacationing as performing, so we’re a week in, and we’ve played three shows so far. As I peck this out on my phone, we’re driving north from Sioux Falls, SD, on our way to Aberdeen. The landscape here has a striking beauty, and a harsh wind! Most of the time when you’re driving straight, your hands are at a 45 degree angle to compensate for the wind blowing across the fields.

All of the people we’ve met in Iowa and SD have been great, very friendly and supportive. I did have my first run in with language difficulty today though, as the girl taking our order at lunch broke land-speed records with her mouth! We’ll have to play Carolina Eve for these good folks to explain my slowness!
