My new book, Building Grooves, contains in the introduction an address to a website which features video of me playing through every exercise in the book. Today I had my first video recording session at the Epic Realm Ranch to start creating the content. Working with Alex was a joy and a pleasure, and we managed to knock out the first two chapters in our first day! I must say that playing through each exercise four times at 60 bpm was mind-numbing, to say the least, but every time I slipped behind the desk to see the results, I was blown away! I have fun doing video lessons in the Inner Sanctum with the webcam, but seeing what a real pro can do with the proper tools, and (especially) the knowledge how to use them, is amazing! I feel like a rock star! Tomorrow, I’ll see how quickly I can knock out chapter 3!

I’m also going to have an ongoing contest for anyone who works their way through the book. Anyone who sends me a video (or a link to a video on YouTube) of them playing through the final review page will get an exclusive t-shirt showing their mastery of the Building Grooves system. And I’ll tell you, just for full disclosure, I haven’t earned my own shirt yet! Back to practicing!
